Containers and Cargo
The default container model is m23_2_prop_m32_container_01a. Change Config.Airdrop.containerModel in config/config.lua, or use settings.Airdrop.containerModel for an individual location or preset.
Opening compatibility
| Models | Opening profile |
|---|---|
m23_2_prop_m32_container_01a | no_tools: player opening animation without tools. |
tr_prop_tr_container_01a through tr_prop_tr_container_01i | grinder: opening animation with tools and sparks. |
xm3_prop_xm3_container_01d, m25_1_prop_m51_containersmall_01b | grinder. |
prop_container_ld_pu, prop_container_05a, m23_1_prop_m31_container_01a | Doors open without a player opening animation. |
| Other models without an assigned profile | Stash access without a supplied opening animation. |
The no_tools opening requires game build 3407 or later. The grinder opening requires 2372 or later. The selected model must also be available on the server's game build.
Changing the model does not automatically add a compatible animation. Test custom models for delivery, ground placement, opening and interaction before using them on a live server.
Profile configuration
config/container_opening.lua contains:
| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
animations | Opening animations, durations and required game builds. |
animations.grinder.props | Lock, grinder and bag used by the grinder animation. |
animations.grinder.particles | Grinder spark effects. |
models | Exact model-to-profile mapping or false. |
tints | Explicit texture variation, including the default model's 0. |
doors.dict | Supplied door-animation dictionary; retain the default. |
doors.models | Three door-only clip mappings. |
The grinder and other tools are part of the animation. Opening requires no inventory tool or minigame and consumes no item.
Set a model's entry in models to false to disable its player opening animation. This does not add opening doors; door-only behavior requires an entry in doors.models. Retain the supplied animation settings unless you have compatible replacement assets.
First opening and cancellation
After landing and lock expiry, interact with the container to open it. Only one player can perform the first opening at a time. The player must be alive, on foot and not ragdolled.
If opening is interrupted, interact again once the container is available. After the first successful opening, further interactions access the shared stash without replaying the animation.
The opening sound plays at most once per drop and does not repeat after an interrupted attempt. Unlock audio has separate sound settings.
Keeping doors visually open
Supported containers remain visibly open after a successful first opening. When changing a container model, verify that its doors and interaction work correctly for multiple players, including after leaving and returning to the area.
Decorative cargo
The 15 supplied containers with player-opening or door-only animations support decorative cargo. The boxes are visual decoration: they cannot be collected individually and do not represent the stash's items or capacity.
Edit config/container_cargo.lua to change the cargo model palette. The supplied palette contains 35 models.
| Palette property | Meaning |
|---|---|
model | GTA model name. |
min, max | Reference model dimensions. These values do not resize the models. |
topOnly | An open/display model that must terminate a stack rather than support another crate. |
standalone | A model that stays on the floor and does not support other models. |
display | Preference for displaying a topOnly model near the container entrance. |
Use models available on the selected game build and small enough to fit the container. An incompatible or empty palette can prevent decorative cargo from appearing. There is no separate cargo enable/disable option in the configuration or per-drop settings.
World countdowns
The flare countdown displays the time until dispatch. The crate countdown displays the remaining lock time. Both appear in the game world and can be configured independently under Per-Drop Settings.
