F5 Airdrop

Installation

F5 Airdrop provides supply drops with Cargobob delivery, timed locks, animated container opening and shared loot. The in-game administrator panel includes custom drops, reusable presets, an active-drop map and calendar scheduling.

This guide covers F5 Airdrop 2.0.0.

Escrow edition

F5 Airdrop is available exclusively as an escrow-protected resource. The following directories remain open for customization:

DirectoryPurpose
config/Drop locations, loot, delivery settings, visual effects, container options and announcement audiences.
locales/Translations and interface text.
bridge/Framework, inventory, target and other server integrations.

The remaining product files are not provided as editable source. Keep the supplied package complete and apply supported customizations through these directories and the administrator panel.

Requirements

ComponentRequirement
PlatformFiveM for GTA V with OneSync enabled.
FrameworkQBCore, Qbox, ESX, or an integration based on one of these frameworks through the open bridge.
InventoryA compatible stash-capable inventory. Native ESX inventory alone cannot provide airdrop loot. See Items and Inventory.
Targetox_target, qb-target, or a compatible integration through the open bridge.
DatabaseA configured MySQL/MariaDB connection using oxmysql, mysql-async, or ghmattimysql.
Game build3407 or newer for the default opening animation. Alternative models may require a newer build.

Start the selected dependencies before f5_airdrop. Automatic detection uses resources that are already running.

QB inventory compatibility

The installed QB inventory must support the stash access controls required by F5 Airdrop. Compatibility can vary between distributions and modifications. Check QB inventory compatibility before deployment; a resource name alone does not confirm compatibility.

Install the resource

  1. Place the complete supplied directory at resources/[f5]/f5_airdrop and keep the resource name f5_airdrop.
  2. Edit config/config.lua to select your framework, inventory, target and language.
  3. Review the supplied drop locations and replace item names with items registered in your inventory.
  4. Configure the database connection using your SQL driver's installation instructions.
  5. Add the appropriate startup sequence to server.cfg.

Choose one inventory and one target. Retain any additional dependencies required by those resources.

QBCore with QB inventory

server.cfg
set onesync on
sv_enforceGameBuild 3407
ensure oxmysql
ensure qb-core
ensure qb-inventory
ensure qb-target
ensure f5_airdrop

Qbox with OX inventory

server.cfg
set onesync on
sv_enforceGameBuild 3407
ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
ensure qbx_core
ensure ox_inventory
ensure ox_target
ensure f5_airdrop

ESX with OX inventory

server.cfg
set onesync on
sv_enforceGameBuild 3407
ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
ensure es_extended
ensure ox_inventory
ensure ox_target
ensure f5_airdrop

Changing the enforced game build requires a full server restart and player reconnection.

Database setup

Preset and calendar storage is prepared automatically when the resource starts. A manual SQL import is normally unnecessary. Keep all supplied files in the installation and ensure the database account can read, write, create and update the required storage.

Resolve database errors before using presets or scheduling. See Saving and Backups.

Grant administrator access

Configure the staff permission selected by Config.CommandPermission, which defaults to admin, and grant the required ACE permissions. For an existing group.admin principal:

server.cfg
add_ace group.admin command.airdropanel allow
add_ace group.admin command.airdrop_auto_toggle allow
add_ace group.admin command.airdrop_clear allow

Assign staff through your server's normal permission setup. See Commands and Permissions for framework-specific guidance.

First-run check

  1. Join as an authorized administrator and open /airdropanel.
  2. Confirm that Config Drops lists your locations and Custom Drop can search your inventory items.
  3. Choose an open, level destination and include at least one registered item with a 100% chance and a positive quantity.
  4. Launch the drop while standing near the destination. Wait for dispatch, delivery and the lock countdown.
  5. Approach the front doors, use the target interaction and confirm that the opening animation and shared loot work correctly.
  6. Save a preset and create a future calendar entry. Check the calendar's displayed server time before confirming it.
Automatic drops

Automatic drops are enabled after every resource restart and can begin shortly after startup when the player requirements are met. Review the supplied locations and loot before starting the resource on a live server. /airdrop_auto_toggle changes the automatic-drop state for the current session.

Updates

Back up your configuration, translations, custom bridge changes and database. Install the complete update, compare the supplied settings with your customizations, and restart during maintenance.

Restarting removes active drops and their remaining loot, clears recent action history and enables automatic drops again. Saved presets and calendar entries remain available. See Saving and Backups for the maintenance checklist.
