Per-Drop Settings
A location, custom drop or preset can override the options listed here. In config/config.lua, place location overrides inside that location's settings table. Use the documented names and value types.
The default column shows the shipped global configuration. Location settings override these values; see configured locations. Distances are GTA world units. Weight uses the selected inventory's units.
Flight and lifecycle
All fields below are inside settings.Airdrop.
| Field | Default | Accepted value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
arrivalDelay | 180 | Number 0..604800 seconds | Countdown before dispatch. |
lifetime | 1200 | Number 1..604800 seconds | Time until drop removal after the dispatch/no-player delay. Includes flight time. |
playerRadius | 350 | Number 1..10000 | Radius around the destination used to determine whether helicopter delivery is possible. |
noPlayersDelay | 60 | Number 0..604800 seconds | Wait before direct placement when arrival delay is zero and no eligible nearby player is available; defaults to Config.NoPlayersDelayTime. |
helicopterModel | 'cargobob' | Nonblank string | Helicopter model name. |
pilotModel | 's_m_m_pilot_01' | Nonblank string | Pilot ped model. |
containerModel | 'm23_2_prop_m32_container_01a' | Nonblank string | Container model; see compatibility. |
containerGroundOffset | 0.05 | Number -20..20 | Offset used when placing/leveling the container. |
levelTriggerDistance | 40 | Number 1..100 | Player distance at which container ground alignment begins. |
spawnDistance | 300 | Number 1..10000 | Horizontal helicopter spawn radius. |
spawnHeight | 250 | Number 1..2000 | Spawn height above destination. |
speed | 17 | Number 0.1..200 | Helicopter flight speed. |
flyHeight | 50 | Number 1..2000 | Flight height above destination. |
dropDelay | 500 | Integer 0..600000 milliseconds | Delay in the release sequence. |
helicopterDespawnTime | 30 | Number 0..3600 seconds | Helicopter departure cleanup delay. |
despawnDistance | 1000 | Number 1..10000 | Departure destination distance. |
Smoke
All fields below are inside settings.Flares.
| Field | Default | Accepted value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
stopStage | 'landing' | drop, landing, cleanup | End smoke after release, landing or drop removal, with the applicable extra delay. |
flareExtraTimeAfterLanding | 5 | Number 0..604800 seconds | Extra smoke after landing when that stop stage is selected. |
flareExtraTimeAfterDrop | 0 | Number 0..604800 seconds | Extra smoke after release when that stop stage is selected. |
defaultColor | 'green' | Nonblank string | Named fallback color from Config.Flares.colors. |
scale | 2.5 | Number 0.1..10 | Fallback smoke scale. |
density | 1 | Number 0..1 | Smoke opacity, from transparent to opaque. |
Set defaultColor and scale in the configuration file. In the admin panel, use the effects editor to choose the color and size directly. Explicit effect values override these defaults. stopStage = 'cleanup' does not use either extra-time setting.
Flare countdown
These fields are inside settings.Flares.Countdown.
| Field | Default | Accepted value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
enabled | true | Boolean | Display the pre-dispatch world countdown. |
height | 2.6 | Number -20..100 | Vertical placement. |
heading | 0 | Number -360..360 degrees | Default orientation when the player is directly beneath the countdown. |
drawDistance | 50 | Number 0..10000 | Visibility distance. |
Crate countdown
These fields are inside settings.CrateCountdown.
| Field | Default | Accepted value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
enabled | true | Boolean | Display the container lock countdown. |
height | 0.5 | Number 0..100 | Gap from the front top edge to the panel's lower edge. |
heading | 0 | Number -360..360 degrees | Fallback orientation. |
drawDistance | 50 | Number 0..10000 | Visibility distance. |
Both countdowns face the viewer and fade near the visibility limit. They can be enabled independently. The crate panel changes to OPEN when the lock expires, then fades away without delaying access.
Flare sound
These fields are inside settings.Flares.Sound.
| Field | Default | Accepted value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
range | 50 | Number 0..10000 | Audible range. |
beepInterval | 1000 | Integer 50..60000 milliseconds | Time between beeps. |
soundName | 'Out_Of_Bounds_Timer' | Nonblank string | GTA audio name. |
soundRef | 'DLC_HEISTS_GENERAL_FRONTEND_SOUNDS' | Nonblank string | GTA sound set. |
soundBoost | true | Boolean | Enable the flare sound boost option. |
usePlayerSound | false | Boolean | Add direct player audio while the player is within the audible range. |
stopOnDrop | true | Boolean | Stop after release/direct placement and the extra delay. |
extraTimeAfterDrop | 5 | Number 0..604800 seconds | Additional sound time when stopping on drop. |
There is no separate flare-volume setting. Use sound names available on the selected game build.
Opening and unlocking sounds
Full path inside settings | Default | Accepted value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
OpenSound.range | 50 | Number 0..10000 | Opening sound radius. |
OpenSound.volume | 0.35 | Number 0..1 | Opening sound volume. |
OpenSound.minRange | 2 | Number 0..10000 | Distance within which the opening sound retains its configured volume. |
UnlockSound.range | 100 | Number 0..100 | Unlock sound radius. |
UnlockSound.volume | 0.45 | Number 0..1 | Unlock sound volume. |
UnlockSound.minRange | 20 | Number 0..50 | Distance within which the unlock sound retains its configured volume. |
Both sounds use the configured volume within minRange and fade toward silence at range. A zero range or volume disables playback. Set minRange below range to use distance attenuation; otherwise the sound retains its configured volume throughout the audible range.
The opening sound plays at most once per drop; another attempt after an interrupted opening does not replay it. The unlock sound plays for players within range when the lock expires. Arriving or joining afterward does not replay it.
Older UnlockSound.soundName and UnlockSound.soundRef options do not change the unlock sound. Use range, volume and minRange to configure playback.
Stash and target
Full path inside settings | Default | Accepted value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Stash.label | Localized drop label | Nonblank string | Inventory title. |
Stash.weight | 250000 | Integer 1..1000000000 | Capacity passed to the inventory backend. |
Stash.slots | 30 | Integer 1..1000 | Stash slot count. |
Target.distance | 2.5 | Number 0.1..10 | Interaction distance at the container front. |
Use valid model and sound names available on your server's game build.
Keep numbers within the listed ranges and use whole numbers for fields marked Integer. In Lua settings, write numbers without quotation marks.

This assignment replaces that location's existing settings table. Retain any existing overrides you still need. Set lockTime, items, smokeColor, smokeScale, light and blipConfig directly on the location, outside settings.
For timing interactions, see the lifecycle clocks.
